Luteal Blend
The Luteal Blend is HerBloom's seed mix for the second half of your cycle — days 15 to 28, known as the Luteal Phase. This is the phase that follows ovulation, when your body shifts from estrogen-dominant to progesterone-dominant in preparation for either implantation or menstruation.
For many women — especially those with PCOS or hormonal imbalance — the Luteal Phase is the most challenging. Low progesterone can trigger intense PMS, mood swings, bloating, breast tenderness, and disrupted sleep. The Luteal Blend was crafted specifically to support progesterone production and help the body navigate this phase with more ease.
Our Luteal Blend combines sunflower seeds and sesame seeds — two nutritional powerhouses rich in Vitamin E, selenium, zinc, and lignans that work synergistically to support progesterone synthesis, reduce inflammation, and ease the most common PMS symptoms.

One tablespoon daily, days 15 through 28. Add to your oatmeal, energy balls, stir-fries, or smoothies. |

What Is Inside
Sunflower Seeds
Sunflower seeds are extraordinarily rich in Vitamin E — one of the most important fat-soluble antioxidants for hormonal health. Vitamin E has been shown to support the corpus luteum (the structure that produces progesterone after ovulation) and reduce prostaglandins that cause painful cramps. Sunflower seeds also contain selenium, which supports liver detoxification of hormones.

Sesame Seeds
Sesame seeds contain lignans — specifically sesamin and sesamolin — that interact with progesterone pathways and help balance hormone levels in the Luteal Phase. They are also rich in calcium and zinc, which ease PMS symptoms and support mood stability. For women with heavier periods, sesame seeds' iron content is an added bonus.
